ML: Yeah it's a bit of a bummer. Basicaly it was drama
at the track. I got taken out and broke my tib/fib. I had to have 14 screws and 2 plates put in my leg.
FL: That sux to hear. When do you think you will be back?
ML: I'll be back in about 4 weeks. I plan on using what happened to make me more determined and stronger so when I come back nothing is there to stand in my way.
FL: The past few years your speed has really been there, but you have ran into a few injuries. What have you done to stay motivated?
ML: It might sound odd, but I got hurt. It is the thing that motivates me the most. I get bummed from time to time. It just makes me stronger and I want it more. The last year that I was hurt made me focus on what I want and how bad. I know exactly what I want and why now.
FL: What are you doing now to be repaired when you can jump back on the bike?
ML: To prepair myself for getting back on the bike I have been at the gym everday and been on the spin bike. I also started physical therapy and that is going well.
FL: I heard you have been playing some PS3 with your down time. We going to see a professional gamer any time soon?
ML: [laugher] Funny you sya that, and yes. I plan on going pro next week.
FL: When you heal up what classes are we going to see you racing this year?
ML: This year I am going to focus on B and schoolboy. I plan on getting healthy and doing well in those classes.
FL: Much seat time on the 450 yet?
ML: 450? [laughter] No way! I just got on a 250f. You might see me on one by the end of 08.
FL: What are your goals for 2008?
ML: My goals for 08 are going to be to heal up from this and get healthy. After I do that I want to just do tthe best I can. I know thast if I do that I will be one of the top guys to beat.
